Koan Vineyards
Kos was known in antiquity for the "melantanon" wine, as it was called. Today the revival of the long vinification tradition of the island gradually evolves, as younger generation of winemakers are planting Greek varieties in the fertile Koan soils. At least two of the island’s wineries offer wine tasting tours in their estates. It can be a great half-day excursion and a chance to try our Athiri, Assyrtiko, and Malagouzia.
